HOW TO GET THERE?

Royal Racing Club Bruxelles
Avenue des Chênes 125 | 1180 Uccle

ABOUT ROYAL RACING CLUB

Founded in 1891 near Koekelberg as an athletics club, Royal Racing of Bruxelles relocated in 1901 to Avenue des Chênes in Uccle. There, in 1903, it unveiled one of Belgium’s first reinforced-concrete grandstands, which hosted the very first official FIFA match in 1904.

In 1926 the club earned the distinguished “Royal” prefix, and in 1948 its athletics section branched off to form an independent club at Trois Tilleuls. Club life was further enriched by two convivial societies – the Order of the Rats d’Or, founded in 1954, and the Order of the Souris Rat Dieuses, established in 1999. Facilities continued to expand with the addition of a new clubhouse in 1963 and a second hockey pitch in 2007.

On the international stage, three Racing players helped Belgium secure silver at the Rio Olympics in 2016, then gold at Tokyo in 2021. Back at home, the men’s hockey team ended an 81-year wait by reclaiming the Belgian championship in 2022.

Beyond hockey, Racing has grown into a true multisport institution: its tennis section boasts a dedicated academy, coaching programmes, camps, and courts while a rapidly expanding padel section – complete with its own academy and infrastructure – caters to the rising popularity of the sport.
