The Vosges Long weekend has firmly established itself on the BBB calendar. In 2025 it will take place from 1-4 May in Bussang. This year we’ll combine classic climbs with gravel tracks.

2025 sees the inauguration of a new format. Those that come for the climbs will find all that they need. Our routes will feature famous Tour de France climbs like La Planche des Belles Filles and the Ballon d’Alsace. But this year we are also working on creating gravel routes to explore the beautiful Vosges region.
So the BBB Vosges Long Weekend 2025 will be what you make it. A chance to test yourself on summits above 1000 metres. A training camp for bigger challenges later in the year (we’ll organise briefings and plans for those focusing on their training). An exploration of the off road glories of the Vosges. Or just the pure enjoyment of one of the most beautiful cycling areas in Northern Europe.
The format will be relatively short warm up and warm down rides on the Thursday and Sunday and full days out on Friday and Saturday. We expect to organise 3 official road captain led speed groups, roughly corresponding to A2, A3 and A4 on our Sunday rides. The gravel rides are being planned to be alternatives to the Friday and Saturday rides. More details will follow. In order to take part in the weekends a rider should have a number of rides (minimum 4) with A4 or faster.
Our base camp will be in Bussang. The package there includes a buffet lunch on the Thursday (day of arrival) on the Sunday (day of deparure), together with breakfasts and dinners so you won’t be short of fuel. Not included are your own lunches when the groups stop en-route. We’ll also organise yoga/stretching sessions each evening. Bussang has an aquatic centre where you can relax after a day out on the saddle. It also has a bar (which we’ll ensure is well stocked).
We expect to sell the 50 places for the trip quite quickly, so don’t wait too long!
Price includes 3 nights accommodation, breakfast, evening meals and lunch on the day of arrival and departure. Transport is not included. We’ll arrange a shared car system to try to ensure that everybody (and bike) is able to get to the centre (please indicate if you can drive a car and how many places you can offer).
250€ for a bed in a double room (either indicate in the “order notes” when checking out in the webshop if you have agreed to share with someone, or we will match you with someone). 300€ for a single room. Payments are formally non-refundable. However, in the event that you have to withdraw due to injury, illness or personal circumstances and there is sufficient interest we will organise a waiting list and find someone to replace you and cover your payment.
For transport, please indicate in the “order notes” if you can take a car to Bussang and how many places you can offer or indicate that you need transport. Do not worry if you do not have a car. Do not hesitate to sign up for that reason. Each year we have managed to get everyone from Brussels to the Vosges and back. But indicating in the order notes greatly faciltates our planning.
Provisional programme
- Thursday 1st May. 8:00am, depart Brussels (shared cars) late morning: arrive Bussang. Lunch and then warm up ride. 3pm – 2-2.5 hour ride (apx 50k)
- Friday 2nd May. Road: Route to be determined 120k to 160k (2,000 to 3,000 metres climbing) / Gravel: Route to be determined (for both: lunch en-route (not included))

- Sunday 4th May AM recovery ride (2-2.5 hour ride (apx 50k)) (lunch at Bussang) depart Bussang early afternoon/arrive Brussels early evening
